Site Reliability Engineer Team Lead for the Kubernetes and Service Mesh Platform team. • Collaborate with technology peers and business partners to build, deploy and operate and support the foundation of modern cloud native Service Mesh Platform for Thomson Reuters. • Provide Leadership and lead a team of SREs and Ops engineers • Provide technical leadership in designing, implementation, deploying and maintaining our shared platforms on cloud infrastructure • Oversee the ongoing operational & Product reliability activities, as well as the ongoing operation and support of the shared platforms. (e.g. monitoring, service indicators, backup / restores, application availability, scheduled / non-scheduled maintenance, release management, change management, and configuration management) • Act as SME for non-functional requirements, product reliability and security controls, feeding requirements to the backlog and drive standardization. • Lead troubleshooting efforts in large scale/k8s based architected systems and provide on-site technical escalation assistance. • Drive efficiency and accuracy through automation, documentation and continual process improvement while working closely with the development team. • Interact with stakeholders to understand scope and prioritization of product needs. • Own the Incident response activities for the Shared Platforms, ensure proper coverage and provide escalation point • Take active role in the onboarding process of product teams into the platforms and providing repeatable tooling and processes to do so • Actively participate in recruitment activities to grow the Operations team and drive continuous improvement

• Report into our reliability engineering/operations group and work in a scrum team to deliver Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) • Act as the subject matter expert for the planning and implementation of the non functional requirements and work on promoting stories into the backlog to ensure: Platform availability, scalability, performance, monitoring, alerting and efficient incident troubleshooting • Act as the go to person for any production issue, troubleshoot and escalate as needed and monitor until successful resolution. Communicate status with the team and stakeholders. • Implement automation (CICD, IaC) and promote best practices for our CI/CD processes • Implement best practices of Observability and Operation excellence (metrics) • Build and maintain monitoring for all aspects of infrastructure and the platform and implement Alerting mechanism using cloud native solutions • Participate in on-call/shift rotations (L2). When on-call, you are expected to drive the troubleshooting and mitigation activities while working on incident • Maintain end-to-end security ensuring that we meet best practices standards • Keep up-to-date with emerging cloud technology trends, especially around DevOps • Extreme collaboration within our teams – Canada, US and India • Ongoing participation in Scrum ceremonies, and an embrace of an agile work model. This includes collaboration with other Software Engineers, Test Automation Engineers, SRE's, Architects, Product Owners and Scrum Masters
