His team is often engaged in large projects implementing facilities and/or 3D mapping solutions for customers such as the FBI, NASA, SANDIA Labs, Harvard, the UAE, various state governments, the Port of Rotterdam, as well as a number of the world’s largest Fortune 500 companies like ExxonMobil, Apple, and Fidelity.He is also the solution architect for Esri’s Smart Workplace Solution — a role requiring close collaboration with Esri's core development, global sales and business partner managers to enhance and refine this solution. The solution is based on ArcGIS Indoors, a software product he led the development of during its startup phase. In these roles he ensures that Esri technology and services are coordinated and leveraged to provide practical software solutions for end users.As the practice lead for Esri’s smart workplace solution, Patrick provides expert consulting worldwide on complex and unique geospatial problems regarding the built environment. He is a go-to resource for leading technical workshops at Esri’s Federal GIS Conference and International User’s Conference. Patrick worked as the Senior Planner and the national Administrative Space Asset Manager for over 4,600 Real Property Assets on over 100,000 acres, totaling over 8.6M SF and worth over $3B, including $104M in annual lease costs. He supervised an integrated team of 10 professionals specializing in Real Estate, Environmental Planning/Engineering, Community Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and GIS, who worked together managing this diverse portfolio. Other responsibilities included:- Annual prioritization for 'MILCON' projects- GIS Program Manager (2005-2010)- Member, DoD Real Property Classification Panel- Annual budget development- Consulting globally on acquisitions, divestitures, systems engineering, etc...To more effectively manage the USCG real estate portfolio, Patrick supervised numerous regional strategic planning efforts. This included creation and use of executable yet innovative Capital Improvement Plans, Master Plans, and Specific Plans. For example, he created a forward-thinking program, national in scope and effect, to capture space and facility utilization requirements for use at the field and enterprise level in a transactional nature.Under his leadership, over 6M square feet of assets were mapped to the room level in an enterprise database and assigned use codes and tenant units. This effort proved critical in meeting the intent of the Federal Real Property Council (FRPC) reporting requirements and in developing new acquisition projects to close documented gaps. He also leveraged his applied expertise in GIS, BIM/CAD technologies and as an enterprise solution architect on the leadership team that re- defined facilities and real property IT requirements for the USCG.
