In his role at Monument Circle, Walsh is responsible for leading the firm’s efforts to form the SPAC by completing a $250 million IPO in January 2021 and is leading corporate development efforts seeking a merger partner. Walsh sits on the Emmis, Monument Circle Acquisition Corporation, and MediaCo Board of Directors (NASDAQ: EMMS, MON, and MDIA) and is also a past Director and member of the Executive Committee of the National Association of Broadcasters, and current Director of Radio Advertising Bureau, Radio Music License Committee, and the Center for Leadership Development. Walsh recently completed a six-year term on the Alumni Board of Governors at the Ross School of Business Administration at the University of Michigan and the Indianapolis 500 Festival. Walsh joined Emmis as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer before assuming his current role.Before joining Emmis, Walsh was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at iBiquity Digital (now Xperi Corporation (NASDAQ: XPER)), the developer and licenser of HD Radio technology. Walsh was instrumental in raising more than $300 million in private equity for this high-tech company and assisted in building out the company’s intellectual property licensing business, working with end customers in the consumer electronics, semiconductor, and automotive industries.Earlier in his career, Walsh was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, one of the world’s leading management consulting firms. He served many of the world’s leading financial institutions, technology firms, automakers, and energy companies in a variety of CEO-agenda projects. His previous management experience includes positions at General Motors and Deloitte.Walsh earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and finance from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
