The youth we support attend one of our boarding school partners and benefit from the holistic and great education these schools provide. In turn, the schools and their communities benefit from the diverse experiences and backgrounds of our students.

Hired to manage and lead two charter schools: Smithson Craighead Academy Elementary and Smithson Craighead Academy Middle School.Shortly after starting in the newly created CEO position, strategic threats became apparent. With the board’s support, the school hired, directed and worked with a consulting firm to conduct an analysis and make recommendations to overcome looming challenges. In November, 2012, two months after my resignation, the State of Tennessee revoked the middle school’s charter. The middle school closed in May 2013.During my three months as CEO at Smithson Craighead Academy my duties included managing a $5 million budget and engaging former major donors to regain their support with a rejuvenated mission for the school.

The central role of my position as Director of Advancement and Admissions at JPII was establishing trust with prospective parents and students. I was responsible forestablishing the strategic planning and management of both short and long termadvancement and enrollment goals of the Advancement and Admissions office; includingdevelopment, admissions, alumnae and alumni affairs, public relations and communications. Inaddition, I was responsible for supervising and leading the School’sadvancement, enrollment and marketing staff.
