I’ve been using my time away from active employment to dive into data analytics and AI/ML courses and to keep up with the latest and greatest tools and technologies. I developed expertise in prompting AI tools, putting this through extensive practice during my job search, while learning that rage-typing in all caps at gen-AI doesn’t improve accuracy. I took on various home improvement projects, managing everything from planning and budgeting to scope-creep. Each project was a lesson in prioritization, resource allocation, and agile problem-solving.Additionally, I led a cross-functional rock & roll band, navigating the challenges of balancing creative vision, hitting deadlines, and aligning on goals - a true exercise in agile collaboration. Together we have fostered shared goals, embraced iterative design, and stayed committed to constant refinement.I’ve taken full advantage of my time off to learn new skills, improve my home, and dive deeper into my creative passions. And most importantly, I’ve spent time reflecting on my past experiences, gaining even more clarity around my core strengths and aspirations. I’m energized and ready to bring this renewed perspective into my next role.

Lead Product Manager, User Feedback

San Jose, Ca, Us

I led eBay’s user feedback platform to harness a wealth of untapped user insights, developing a strategic vision centered on high-quality data and improving customer satisfaction. This involved improving both the frontend survey experience and the internal platform while expanding our reporting capabilities.Leading a major data migration to eBay’s Data Warehouse enabled integration of user feedback with segmentation, behavioral data, and telemetry to provide a complete view of user experiences. Machine Learning and AI allowed us to auto-triage user-reported issues and identify top problems and themes. This empowered product teams to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions about feature development and prioritization.Collaborating with User Research and Design, I developed a library of UI components and templates to enhance the user experience, reduce survey bias, and enable benchmarking across surveys. We greatly expanded the capabilities of our mobile SDK and frontend components to support new use cases and improve the quantity and quality of response metadata.I spearheaded the development of eBay’s "Shake to Report" feature from concept to launch and aligned it with eBay’s Product Quality initiative. This feature allows mobile app users to instantly report issues by simply shaking their phones, vastly improving our ability to prioritize and address customer-reported bugs quickly and becoming indispensable for internal testing.Additionally, I demonstrated effective leadership by expanding the team from myself and an engineer to a team of nine, including a data scientist, program manager, and native and full-stack engineers. I led the recruitment and onboarding of key members and effectively supervised and mentored junior members of the team after the departure of their manager. My efforts resulted in a more effective platform, providing valuable insights, improving product quality, and enhancing user experiences across eBay’s platforms.
