I chose to be an engineer because I have an unfaltering desire to design, create, and build. I want a career where I can be engaged every day solving problems to improve the world. Creativity, curiosity, perseverance, a willingness to take risks, and an insatiable desire to learn about everything are core elements of my character. I believe that there is no substitute for these qualities.As a mechanical engineering graduate, I gained many skills during my time at Colorado School of Mines. While I know my engineering knowledge is by no means complete, I am eager to learn and further that knowledge every day both through study and experience. I've also acquired significant leadership, teamwork, and communication experience through my involvement in many activities at CSM. I consider these traits equally as valuable as my engineering knowledge for accomplishing my goals.My professional interests include aerospace, mechanical design, product design and manufacturing, 3D printing, robotics, propulsion, biomechanics, alternative energy, automotive engineering, fluid dynamics, and exercise science.
