During my tenure in the Department of Animal Sciences, I worked independently as a member of a molecular biology laboratory team. My primary duties included total RNA isolation from over 300 frozen tissue stocks, RNA gel electrophoresis, Rt-PCR, Northern blot analysis, plasmid transformations, lab inventory management, and training undergraduate and graduate student team members. Starting as a Student Research Assistant and promoted to a Staff Research Technician role, I worked in the Health Communication Research Office at the Arizona Cancer Center.
