As a credentialed and experienced mediator, I help lawyers and parties resolve lawsuits through the mediation process. Cases I mediate include commercial and residential property tax disputes, business disputes, catastrophic injury cases, commercial and residential construction disputes, and divorces. Using Zoom, I work with lawyers, parties, tax agents, and appraisal districts all over Texas to negotiate amicable resolutions to lawsuits. Leveraging technology, I make mediation less expensive and more accessible to those that want to explore the custom-crafted solutions we can conjure in mediation that courts and arbitrators can't or won't do.I also serve as general counsel for Texas small businesses and startups. A big challenge for new business owners is there is no easy source for all the information you need to get your business built and started properly. This is where I come in. I help small businesses with everything from name clearance, formation, hiring/HR, contracts, website terms & conditions and privacy policies, compliance, and other day-to-day needs. I also work with franchisees in evaluating and starting new franchises. This can include contract/FDD review, lease negotiations, construction/build out negotiations, HR/employee matters, and other day-to-day needs.As a passion practice, I work with Texas divorcing couples to divorce amicably. I provide needed information and guidance to walk them through an agreed divorce. I do this work on flat fees, and we're typically done in about 90 days (start to finish). I make divorce less toxic, much less expensive, and get couples done faster. I work directly with each couple, and the fee includes all the time the couple needs to communicate with me, ask questions, work with me through challenges, and review all paperwork. This is a very different, more positive divorce experience I love bringing to Texas divorcing couples.I retired from trial work several years ago after more than 20 years as a trial advocate. The cases I handled varied widely, including complex patent litigation, commercial and residential construction litigation, complex business disputes, employment litigation, catastrophic injury cases, high asset/high conflict divorces, and many other types of disputes.
