I like to build things. Prior to studying finance I worked construction and in my spare time I build and renovated everything from furniture to boats. Finance turned into business intelligence, then statistics, and finally into building software, ie. coding.As a coder I'm self taught and as such always keen to master any new discipline which to date ranges from network infrastructure and server administration to full-stack development, mainly in the realm of cloud-based applications and primarily their APIs.While proficient in frameworks such as Angular and React, I prefer my own JavaScript frameworks and modules when building Q Music Player which unifies back- and front-end code and notably the transport layer in-between to allow transparent distributed computing so code could run in any combination of separate processes, separate servers or on client devices.In the short term I would like to be a part of a larger team developing a product or service for market while gaining experience leading a sub-set of that effort. In the long term I want to build something of my own, be that Q Music Player or something else.
