Technical Manager and Brazing Engineer with 15 years’ experience across a range of industries including Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Medical Devices. With a First-Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Six Sigma Black Belt I bring an analytical approach to solving my customers brazing challenges. At VBC Group my role is to support our customers technically in any brazing or welding related projects. This includes email, phone, and on-site support to get the best results from our products by selecting the most suitable alloy for their application and providing the optimum parameters for their equipment, be it vacuum, torch or induction. I can also offer in-house technical training sessions for brazing engineers and operators as well as product specific consultancy or new process introduction. During the Covid-19 pandemic I have been using remote working technology to connect with my customers and support them with their brazing projects.I represent the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) on several ISO Brazing related Committees (ISO TC44/SC11, SC13, SC14).I provide technical support to our PhD students carrying out research into novel brazing alloys at Sheffield University.
