Outpatient Orthopedics and Homecare

• 3rd clinical rotation (Outpatient). Cash-based practice with an emphasis on holistic assessment and treatment, using hands-on manual techniques; incorporating IPA Functional Manual Therapy and Postural Restoration.

• 2nd clinical rotation (Inpatient, skilled nursing facility). Experienced playing an integral role among an interdisciplinary health care team. Having led weekly patient progress meetings and required to make tough decisions regarding a patient’s readiness to return home, with consideration to each individual’s unique circumstance.

• Teach higher-level concepts regarding Neuro-anatomy/physiology, via human brain dissection and analysis.• Facilitate group tutoring and open lab sessions.

• Teach 1st yr. DPT students hands-on skills and concepts related to MSK and Orthopedics.• Through: Open lab sessions, group tutoring, and one-on-one tutoring sessions.

• Teach fundamental principles of anatomical structure and function through dissection of human cadavers.• Facilitate open-lab sessions, setup exams, and grade course work.

• 1st clinical rotation (outpatient orthopedics). Worked with a diversity of patient populations across Musculoskeletal, Neurologic, and Cardiovascular conditions. Commended by CI and management for excellent patient education and an ability to manage a daily caseload.

• Maintain patient charts, verify insurance credentials and schedule follow-up visits.• Utilize effective communication skills with the patient/client-centered healthcare team.• Ensure a safe and effective environment by maintaining and preparing therapy equipment.

• Assisted mechanics in everyday electrical work. • Exemplified an ability to safely bend, squat, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and lift.
