Throughout four ownership changes I was responsible for directing and implementing all aspects of human resources and facilities management in a one person Human Resources Department. Established a Corporate Human Resources Department from the ground up which included selecting and implementing all human resource functions and HRIS systems (i.e. payroll, timekeeping, 401(k), benefits, 3rd party benefits administration, state unemployment and withholding set-up, business registration and licensing, liability and worker's compensation insurance, etc.) Also, when the company engaged in new business to become a federal sub-contractor, I developed and implemented HR processes and procedures to comply with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) requirements and regulations. This included implementing processes and procedures for 5C Public Trust Security Clearances, fringe benefit compensation analysis, recruitment tracking, Affirmative Action Program (AAP) and EEOC compliance, updating policies and procedures, etc.In addition to implementing various HRIS applications and compliance, I administered and managed the day-to-day HR operations such as staffing and recruiting, new hire onboarding, timekeeping and payroll processing, benefit administration, FMLA, STD, LTD, 401(k) administration, job description development and maintenance, FLSA, job and salary administration, performance management, employee handbook development and changes, government compliance and reporting, employee development and training, record retention, employee disputes and unemployment claim appeals, record retention, terminations, and reduction in force activities. Facility and vendor management activities included oversight of building and security access systems and badges, monitor office remodel projects, revise space allocation depending on staffing needs, maintain break room equipment and supplies, company name change signage, employee and customer events, etc.
