I am a qualified and experienced teacher of signed languages and other associated training courses. I can train your staff to communicate more successfully with clients who use less common modes of communication such as BSL (British Sign Language) or Makaton which is for those with a learning disability. The general Deaf Awareness training can improve communication with those 1 in 7 of the population who have a hearing loss, many of whom are your customers or clients. Having staff with these skills enhances equal access and equality and diversity and can greatly improve customer experience and satisfaction. The Sensory Loss training extends those skills to be more aware of how best to serve those with a visual or dual sensory loss.I deliver training with a marked sense of humour and use many personal experiences to emphasise important points, my evaluations of courses and feedback are very good.
