During my 9 +years here, I performed many duties and was involved in accounting for the various mergers and acquisitions within the Company first as Associated Gas Supplies became AGAS during the decentralisation of BG's monopoly on the oil and gas industry, we then merged with Elf to form Elf Gas & Power, then with TotalFina to become TotalFina Elf Gas & Power.I was the Financial Accountant for Elf and I managed the Purchase ledger, Payroll, systems and General ledger and was responsible for recruitment, appraisals and training.I was also involved in upgrading the systems from Sun V3 to V4, testing on behalf of the software supplier, Systems Union, writing reports using document definitions, creating and editing databases, creating oil & gas reports.I was responsible for co-ordinating the Total merged company transfer of accounting systems from SAP to Sun, parallel running, systems testing and balance sheet mapping,I also automated the bank recon process onto Sun and developed and delivered Sun Accounts training programmes for financial and non-financial users.
