I am currently looking for work as a medical assistant. I just recently graduated from IOT....I love being around people and helping take care of them. I have worked in a dermatology office for my extern and i loved every minute of it!!!

Took care of my clients, did errands for them and light housekeeping

Check patients' pulse, temperature and respiration. § Direct patients in simple prescribed exercises.§ Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems in order to reportand discuss observations with a supervisor or case manager. § Massage patients and apply preparations and treatments, such as liniment, alcohol rubs,and heat-lamp stimulation. § Provide patients with help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs orautomobiles, and with dressing and grooming. § Accompany clients to doctors' offices and on other trips outside the home, providingtransportation, assistance and companionship. § Change bed linens, wash and iron patients' laundry, and clean patients' quarters. § Entertain, converse with, and read aloud to patients to keep them mentally healthy andalert. § Provide nutritional meals according to prescribed diets.
