Short BioPatsy Meyer is a professional percussionist, singer/songwriter, Remo HealthRhythms trained drum circle facilitator, preschool music teacher and Music Together Educator. In addition to touring worldwide with major recording artists including the legendary Patti Austin, Peabo Bryson, Norman Brown, and Paul Taylor among others, she’s opened for the likes of Spyro Gyra, Chuck Mangione, Lisa Loeb, Rippingtons, and Ambrosia featuring both her vocal and percussion skills. Meyer has three Emmy nominations in the Best Original Song category and more than 100 of her songs have graced television, CD’s and the big screen. Patsy’s voice has been featured on commercials for dozens of Fortune 500 companies, from AT&T to Wal-Mart. Along with contributing songs for the 2009 award-winning children’s series, Christopher Kazoo and Bongo Boo, Meyer has mentored young musicians through music camps, children’s choirs, classes and workshops across the country. She was part of the inaugural staff of MAD Camp, a music, art and drama program that paired youth interested in the arts with working professionals. Currently, along with singing/playing in LA area shows, Meyer provides Artz Smartz Enrichment classes for LA area elementary and preschools, bringing music and movement into the lives of young children.
