I believe our homes should be smart and safe, without feeling like a jail.I'm a deep tech entrepreneur on a mission to revolutionize the aging-at-home and remote monitoring sectors using our cutting-edge vibration sensing AI.Searching for a fall detection device for my 93-year-old grandpa led me to launch a fall detection wearables company. Despite strong demand from families, elders (like my grandpa) resisted or forgot to use the wearables, and cameras posed privacy issues.Subsequently, my discovery of Carnegie Mellon's research on structural vibration detection led to a collaboration with them and the formation of my own team. My COO, a math whiz from Berkeley, and my CTO, an ex-military sensor specialist with a Dr.Eng. thesis in Vibration Systems, joined me to establish a deep tech company, Blue Oak. Our core technology is a superior vibration signal capturing system that delivers cleaner and more accurate data, forming the foundation for a more robust AI. Strategically based in Thailand, we leverage its cost-effective engineering and the rising elderly demographic.In a separate venture, I convinced a serial entrepreneur friend transitioning from the COVID home testing scene to tap into her network of 700 freelance nurses. Together, we founded Melon Medical, a comprehensive residential healthcare solutions firm, now a pivotal partner of Blue Oak.Blending Neurobiology and Machine Learning from UC Berkeley, I'm skilled in data analysis and biological experiments. Hospitality stints further honed my marketing, business development, service design, and leadership abilities.Outside work, I work on my backflip, dive into films, and immerse in diverse culinary experiences, amplifying my appreciation for design and service.I am open to collaborations.
