Provided general corporate counsel and legal support to an array of product lines, including closed-end funds and structured products. Served as secretary to various closed-end fund trusts, overseeing the production of board meeting materials and managing communications with trustees.Served as primary legal support for Claymore's closed-end fund business development efforts, working closely with product developers to conceive of and develop new closed-end funds, including the Guggenheim Strategic Opportunities Fund (NYSE: GOF).Oversaw legal matters for Claymore's Canadian subsidiary, Claymore Investments, Inc., which raised more than C$5 billion in ETF assets during my tenure. Worked closely with outside Canadian counsel to provide legal support for product development efforts. Served as primary legal counsel to Caterpillar Investment Management Ltd., a wholly owned investment management subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. with $3.8 billion under management. Handled all compliance and regulatory matters, including oversight of in-house employees and third-party service providers.Served as Chief Compliance Officer of Caterpillar Investment Management Ltd. and the Preferred Group of Mutual Funds.Managed the winding down of Caterpillar Investment Management Ltd., including the divestiture of its mutual fund business to T. Rowe Price in June 2006.
