Head Of User Experience & Pave Team LeadPierbridge Feb 2020 - PresentMarlborough, Massachusetts, UsIn July 2018, Pierbridge was acquired by Wisetech Global. As part of the alignment with the the Wisetech Way the company was transitioned from Jira to PAVE (Productivity Acceleration Visualisation Engine), a module of the flagship WiseTech product CargoWise One.Along with the change in tooling, I was asked to lead the Pierbridge development team from a PAVE perspective. The responsibilities of this role require daily collaboration with cross-functional peers, ensuring that the development team have sufficient detail from the Product Management team and that the Product Management team are technically informed sufficiently to carry out roadmap prioritisation. This involves regular assessment of incoming support cases and statements of work, liaising with internal and external Product Management and Services roles to understand customer needs and key tasks as well as current and proposed user journeys. These activities help to ensure that the development team is deployed in the most efficient manner, and thus deliver as much value as possible. -
Head Of User ExperiencePierbridge Oct 2017 - Feb 2020Marlborough, Massachusetts, UsAfter the creation of a satellite office in Vantaa, Finland initially to focus on R&D, the remit of this team changed to deliver a “Community Management Console”, a product that would allow Partners to create and manage their own instances of Transtream. I received a role change to account for ensuring that the UX Flows and Visual Design guidelines that we used within Transtream, were in line with the output being produced by designers working on this product. This involved establishing rituals to assess the challenges that the designers were facing in Finland as well as performing design critique sessions, sign off on final designs and being responsible for ensuring that the end product adhered to the designs. This role also included travel to Finland to allow for more seamless collaboration sessions than video calls and written reports could allow for. -
Ux/Ui Developer & ScrummasterPierbridge Aug 2014 - Oct 2017Marlborough, Massachusetts, UsFollowing formal training I was given the role of scrummaster for the company’s R&D team, working with product owners both internal and external, liaising with the business and enabling the team to deliver to a fast paced sprint cycle.I performed this role alongside designing and implementing new features and support requests for the main Product team who focussed on a large legacy logistics shipping solution, aimed at a number of different partner channels who advertised, sold and supported the same product under different brand names. During this period, we completely redesigned the full shipping solution after witnessing increasing frustration from our User base; Partners, Service and Implementation Engineers. The result of this full redesign was Transtream - a system that allows Users to leverage the full power of the previous logistics shipping solution whilst customising their implementations to their precise needs with a lo-code design feature. As Scrummaster I was responsible for coordinating the output of both the team in the UK and an additional offshore team in Estonia as the redesign was implemented. During this time I was expected to carry out project management functions: creation of gantt charts using critical path analysis, and providing more in depth reporting back to the business as well as attending regular sessions to communicate the ‘why’ of design decisions that had been made. With a redesign of the company’s principle offering the business requested a full rebrand. Myself and another designer were involved in briefing an agency in Boston, US and working through multiple iterations with them until a rebrand that satisfied the executive team was met. -

Conference & Banqueting AssociateMarriott International Apr 2008 - Sep 2011Bethesda, Md, UsWhilst at University I obtained gainful employment to support myself financially. My role within the hotel was to deliver the day to day service of conference and events. I acted as liaison between a sales team, an event service team, customers and guests to ensure maximum satisfaction and efficient event organisation.
