Senior Director - Elearning Innovations And Entrepreneurial Partnerships

Tampa, Florida, Us

As part of eLearning Innovations, I created, named, managed and led USF's award-winning Media Innovation Team (MIT): "A synergetic/synergistic group of digital experts fluent in distance learning, instructional and interactive design, web and application development, high definition video production, online course development, DVD production/replication, and a rich array of emerging digital technologies." I created and successfully implemented a first-ever MIT digital content branding strategy by cultivating a team production culture capable of leading-edge international design recognition. My branding strategy led to over 40 international design awards including Telly, Webby, Davey, Intercom, and Interactive Media Awards, while generating over $2.7 million dollars in revenue with a net 2012 "profit" of over $700,000. (The full $2.7 million served to reduce the MIT's burden on state taxpayers, while fueling high level innovation.)Concurrently, I grew my boutique-sized team from 8 to nearly 45 members as I progressively resourced a bifurcated budget that began in 2002 with only $1.5 million and reached $3.7 million by 2012.Also of merit, I designed and integrated a strategy that enabled over $500,000 in MIT revenue to be generated in service to USF's internal projects at deeply discounted rates (20 to 50%), thereby recirculating USF's own dollars.Prior to the implementation of my strategy, no USF digital content dollars were generated or recirculated by my unit. The MIT saved USF (and Florida's taxpayers) between 20% and 50% over outside commercial rates while moving from $0.00 to $500,000 in USF digital content development revenue, (a "win-win-win").Throughout my USF tenure every budget that I designed/managed ran in the black and I consistently leveraged every dollar by hybridizing my team's responsibilities and utilizing cutting-edge technologies, (i.e., the same Red Epic 5K HD cameras used by numerous Hollywood directors/studios).
