I have been working in the insurance and healthcare industry in various markets, including IFP, Small Business, Large Business, and Medicare throughout Colorado. I have built relationships with brokers, MGAs, FMOs, carriers, and on the ground level with individuals and businesses. I have been successful in building market share and increasing enrollments everywhere I have worked. Previously worked at Connect for Health Colorado, the state insurance marketplace as the Manager of Broker and Small Business Relationships. Responsible for the development of 1500 independent brokers and agents across the state of Colorado. Developed and trained brokers in the individual and small business health insurance marketplace for the past four years, almost from the inception of the Marketplace. Increased broker business from 40% to 54% share and overall growth of 60% in enrollments. Increased small business enrollments by 25% during the past year. Built relationships with brokers, carriers, state associations, business entities and MGAs. Achieved growth in spite of technology and policy challenges. Prior to working at Connect for Health Colorado, I was a licensed teacher with Boulder Valley School District and taught Language Arts and World Literature at Fairview High School.
