Navigated years of rapid hyper-growth by bringing engineering in-house via M&A and building out an empowered Product and Design team to take the business from niche produce delivery to national subscription household grocer. Grew the team 3x as head of product management, product design, and user research. Recruited head of Engineering. Responsible for multi-year product vision and strategy that delights customers, and significantly increased product engagement while maintaining NPS. During this three-year period, the company’s revenue grew 26x to $500MM+, and order volumes grew 13x. As of 2020, Imperfect Foods is on track to save 200 million pounds of food from going to waste in its mission to build a better food system by supporting farmers and producers. Customers do good for the planet while enjoying effortless, fresh, and affordable groceries delivered weekly.

Led product management, product design, data analytics, and engineering. Responsible for product roadmap and strategy that achieved 16% month-over-month revenue growth and 3x increase in AOV. Found product-market fit through continual user research and discovery, gleaning critical insights from 600+ respondents to directly inform product strategy. Drove company-wide adoption of Lean Analytics approach by hand-building real-time company metrics dashboard with SQL and Ruby on Rails, and implementing Josephine’s first data warehouse. Reported to CEO and worked hand-in-hand with the founding team. Josephine connects consumers to almost 2,000 home cooks in the Bay Area, Portland, and Seattle for purchasing dinnertime meals to-go, and is the author behind the California Homemade Food Operations Act of 2019 legalizing microenterprise home kitchens. Our cooks are 85% women, 45% people of color, and 35% immigrants. We empower these incredible food entrepreneurs to serve their best customers: busy parents who want to connect with their families over an authentic homemade dish.

Founded a 4-course dinner concept that ran sold-out seasonal dinners and catering serving over 200 guests. Developed original food menus and guest experience. Built a table. Fed people. Introduced strangers. I was also hired as the Director of Events & Operations at ForageSF where I operated sales, production, and catering teams for 11 public and private food events. Events included the popular 100-guest Wild Kitchen dinners and the 2016 Good Food Awards Ceremony for 750 attendees.

Responsible for $7MM client portfolio that included Amazon, Agilysys, ADP, Citibank, Opower, and Pew Research. Led over 30 cross-functional teams of 5-12 product managers, designers, and engineers to develop new products for clients from early-stage startups to Fortune 50 enterprises, averaging time to market of less than six months. Reported directly to CEO, presented in monthly Board meetings, and implemented company-wide project management systems. Intridea is an Inc. 500 award-winning consulting agency specializing in software development, innovation, and user-centric design research. Acquired in 2015.

Co-founded deals marketplace that enabled customers to patron more restaurants and bars during the 2008 economic recession. Designed and built the crowd-sourced platform for businesses and their fans to post and browse daily deal specials. Hired first Ruby on Rails engineer. Acquired in 2010.
