Chestermere Women’s Crisis Society (CWCS) is a community based non-profit society, organized to collaborate and liaise with existing resources that provide emergency shelter, counselling services, legal resources, clothing and food security to vulnerable women in the community who may be experiencing domestic abuse or require assistance with providing basic needs for themselves and their children. Acting as a liaison, CWCS’s role is to coordinate resources to provide assistance to women in crisis. Emergency Shelter: Access to an immediate, safe place to stay for 24-48 hours Basic Needs Support: Assistance with accessing basic needs such as food, clothing and transportation Court Support: Volunteers may be available to support women meeting lawyers or attending court within the Rocky View Regional Municipality area Housing Support: We can help you find furniture and move in to a new home, then help you transition out of your current residenceWe are a community minded organization advocating for women to thrive, achieve stability, raise awareness, provide supportive counselling programs, referrals, and Outreach Services. A place where women can receive information and support so that they do not have to go through their situation alone.

Managing daily operations of a team as well as contributing to strategic planning and leadership of the compliance department.Promote compliance with applicable securities legislation by the firm and registrants including through providing day-to-day support to business units regarding compliant sales practices including suitability of client subscriptions.Responsible for the team performing day to day monitoring of trading, advertising and communications, business conduct etc. by dealing representatives of the firm.Managing re-design and execution of on-site branch and dealing representative review processes including risk assessment.Work with internal subject matters experts to design and develop effective compliance training programs and materials.Managing the complaints handling process.Accountable for ensuring a proactive Privacy and Anti-Money Laundering compliance program.Quarterly reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer on all compliance and associated risk matters under your responsibilities.

Key contact for general compliance matters, providing knowledgeable advice and practical and timely solutions to the business units. Provide support and direction to the employees of Canoe's Calgary office in accordance with securities regulations and internal policies. Identify violations of regulatory or internal requirements and conduct appropriate inquiries and investigations in relation to any such situations and ensure appropriate corrective measures are implemented in a timely manner or appropriately escalated. For IFM, assist in addressing marketing and sales practices, Investment Review Committee matters, and conflict of interest matters. For PM, perform trade/portfolio reviews, and assist in reviewing soft dollar activities, and trade matching requirements. For EMD, assist in KYC, suitability and AML reviews. Address registration matters and assist in third party oversight and governance.
