Since my retirment, I have continued my involvement in Consumer Product Safety Standards and serve on various ASTM F15 subcommittees as a consumer.

From 2016 through July 2021, I served as the agency's Voluntary Standards Coordinator. In this capacity, I oversaw all the agency staff work on the development of voluntary standards for Consumer Products. From 2008-2016, I served as the Program Manager for the CPSIA Section 104 rulemaking projects. Also served as the project manager of several individual 104 projects, such as bath seats, infant walkers, cribs, bassinets, hand-held carriers, frame carriers, hook-on chairs, and booster seats. During this time, I served as the agency's technical expert on juvenile products. Extensively involved in standards development, at both the voluntary and madatory level. From 1998 to 2008, I was a staff engineer in the Directorate for Engineering Sciences and primarily worked on ASTM voluntary standards development (F15) and also managed a variety of regulatory projects. Assisted the Office of Compliance with technical issues relating to recalls of juvenile products.

Started at FTI as a junior engineer. Worked my way to Senior Engineering Expert, Project Manager and then Director of Project Management. In this last position, I supervised a staff of 8-10 engineering project managers, administration personnel, and laboratory technicians. Responsible for cost-center budgetary matters and meeting financial goals of the company. Reported directly to the President of the company.
