I have worked in all areas of the accounting department; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Auditing, Programming, Collections, Reporting, Training, and Technical Support. I have worked with several varieties of accounting software; PeopleSoft, Software System(Cobal & Progress), CIMA, Great Plains, and QuickBooks. I am able to adapt with ease, work with others, work independently, and multi-task. I was the bookkeeper for a small business owner who owned and operated a nursing facility, excavating company, ambulance company, bicycle shop, and rental property. I managed the residence books for Medicaid/Social Security and filed the annual report with the IRS.My experience in the accounting department has helped me develop and implement a structured accounting process for my agency. This process has saved my agency over half a million dollars in late fees in the past two years. I have created query reports to help in the researching of payments, problem solving, or evaluation data.I developed a program which reconciled the school systems financial records to the bank account.I have a strong ability to analyze financial data which helped maintain the appropriate payroll data for budget projections.I was responsible for a federal grant which entailed setting up the structure of the accounts, monitoring the expenses, requesting the draw, reconciling the accounts, and completing all reports.I have worked with 39 school corporations in the State of Indiana. I was technical support for the payroll, financial, HR, and asset systems. I developed training manuals and conducted class room training or personal training. I created reports to capture problems or to display data for special Board of Education meetings. I audited 15 school treasurer's books to help them comply with the State Board of Accounts. I shared special approved State Board of Accounts forms with all the Schools to help with timely processing.
