• Color correcting for newsprint and/or glossy• Image sizing and resolution• Adjusting levels, curves, hue/saturation, sharpness, image density• Working with the editor to make final approvals on image quality and usability• On special magazine editions, silhouetting images and creating clipping masks• Transmitting files to appropriate departments with properly coded file name, in correct color mode• Working with a team to ensure deadlines were met and communication was maintained between all necessary departments

• Design of approximately 15 advertisements for print and web (static & animated) daily• Process over 75 photos for print and web daily• Page layout, placing advertisements, cross referencing ad manifests, using page building software to parse pages for multiple books• Production night progress control, tracking and assigning work to my team• Transmitting pages to the printing plant• Communication with the printer, addressing issues, solving problems, maintaining tight deadlines• Emergency contact after hours for the plant should any problems arise with transmission of pages or on pages sent• Quality control and communication between design, production and editorial departments

Working with a team of sales associates on designing advertisements from concept to client approval. Importing text and graphics and laying out classified pages. Assisted on layout of special sections, photo and editorial placements. Sending pages on production night to printing plant.
