Patricia is a Canadian of South Sudanese ancestry, who was born in Drogheda, Ireland. She considers myself a global citizen. She's lived in five different countries and currently residing in Canada. She has completed a undergraduate degree in Psychology and minor in International Studies, from the University of Washington, in Seattle. Due to a knee injury, she stepped aside from her amateur volleyball career at the University of Washington. Dealing with the adversity of a career ending injury only encouraged her desire to push through further academically and professionally. In 2006, she attended the University of British Columbia, Sauder School of Business in Vancouver Canada, became licensed as a Property Agent and continued to work in the property management industry until 2013, when she switched gears to explore health and global health matters. She volunteers her consulting and fundraising services to a self-help organization based in South Sudan. Through this ongoing experience, she has come to realize the importance of volunteer work and it's impact on health and well-being of all citizens. Shortly after becoming involved with this group, she enrolled and completed the Master's in Public Health program at the University of Saskatchewan.
