Patrick R. Van Ooteghem is the Chief Acquisitions Officer for Venable Royalty, Ltd., a Dallas, Texas based single family office. During his tenure at Venable, which began in January 2003, he has been directly involved in the purchasing, and then the managing, of mineral and royalty interests in oil and gas wells in nearly a thousand properties in a dozen states, as well as in valuing and managing other asset classes such as real estate, public equities, debt instruments, baskets of foreign currencies, non-energy commodities, and derivative contracts. Mr. Van Ooteghem has served on the board of the Petroleum Engineer’s Club of Dallas and is a member of ADAM Energy Forum, American Enterprise Institute’s Enterprise Club, and All Saints Anglican Church. He graduated with honors from Southern Methodist University in May 2003 with Bachelor’s of Art degrees in Finance and History.
