After graduating from Petroleum Engineering Technology at the College of the North Atlantic in St. John's NL, I started my career with Schlumberger in Alberta in 1994. As a Field Specialist, I led crews of 3-5 people as we completed various cementing, stimulation, and high pressure pump jobs for clients in the oil industry. service Quality and HSE were always at the forefront during our operations, as we were exposed to many different environments, and all sorts of weather.After 5 years in Medicine Hat and Whitecourt, Alberta, I transferred to St. John's NL to work in the offshore industry. As a senior Field Specialist, I enjoyed a 15 year career in the offshore, and gained extensive experience in logistics, QHSE, personnel management, and inventory control. Over these years I formed strong alliances with many of the clients, and was awarded Safety Leader of the month on occasion, as well as many notable mentions for high levels of safety and service quality.From there I accepted a position in the office, first as a Well Services Foreman, and then as a Resource Coordinator. This role gave me the opportunity to move to the management side of the business, organizing crews and equipment to complete jobs for the client, creating Purchase orders for asset purchases and tool rentals using SAP, and managing the training matrix of new and transferred employees to ensure they were eligible to travel offshore when called upon.It has been a very rewarding 26 year career, and now I am looking forward to using my knowledge and experience as I embark on the next chapter of my life.
