Working for Indiana University Conferences, I assist in a variety of ways in the different departments to help promote a more cohesive environment and improve efficiency of internal operations. The three main departments I assist in are: Contracts & Payments, Purchasing, and Conference Management.- Contracts & Payment -In this position, I manage all of are '3000s' events which do not utilize our registration or full-service options. The primary purpose of the 3000s is to: 1) Review, revise, and manage Contracts, BEOs and other agreements 2) Make payment arrangements with suppliers in a secure manner 3) Manage proper Hospitality Approvals and Certificate of Insurance paperwork 4) Collect receipts and bill client's at the conclusion of the event- Purchasing - In this role, I help assist other team members with: 1) Establishing supplier profiles 2) Submitting requisitions to establish purchase orders 3) Track and properly manage invoices- Conference Management - For the position, I have either serve as an assistant or, outside of the 3000s, serve as the Conference Manager for conferences.
