During my long career with Wells Fargo, I've had the opportunity to play a number of progressively more challenging roles in finance and operations while the company grew dramatically - from $19 billion in assets when I started to $1.9 trillion in assets today. The things I enjoyed the most were building and working with a talented and successful team, playing a key role in the firm’s transformational acquisition and integration of Wachovia Corporation, being active in the capital markets by issuing $270 billion of debt and equity instruments during my tenure, and by managing the firm's high-grade investment portfolio. Leading important firm-wide efforts like the "Stress Test" gave me a deep understanding of risks across the firm's businesses. Finally, I enjoyed the process of building financial infrastructure to support the rapidly expanding analytical and financial management needs of the firm.
