Paul co-founded latakoo in 2010 with Jade Kurian. In 2020, The International Trade Association for the Broadcast & Media Industry (IABM) named latakoo "broadcaster/media company of the year." The IABM represents more than 500 vendor members. Those members earn more than 80% of all revenue generated in the global broadcast and entertainment technology market. The IABM gave latakoo its highest award during a pandemic that forced video producers worldwide to rely on cloud solutions including latakoo. 2020 brought large gains for latakoo with 59% growth in Annual Recurring Revenue over the previous year, 158% Net Revenue Retention, and only 1% Revenue Churn. latakoo provides a mission critical workflow that some of the world's largest media companies depend on to transport video content from locations around the world to their broadcast and production hubs for distribution to millions. The latakoo solution facilitates collaboration at scale as in-the-moment edit, review, share and distribution decisions are continually made by massive organizations.Paul has worked with video and big data files for three decades and understands the complexities of sharing those files. His experience in the broadcasting and cable industry and the contacts he nurtured through the years helped him to establish latakoo inside some of the biggest broadcasting companies. Paul has won numerous awards, including Emmys, for investigative journalism. He has a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School with a focus on entrepreneurship.
