IT Moves Planner April 2003 – June 2008My role in the Moves and Changes team was to schedule, plan and carry out all day to day and weekend relocations of PC’s and Servers across all of Nomura’s London sites. I was also involved in planning all LAN/Voice changes including static addressing within a Layer 3 environment. My main tasks included:Preparing full surveys for moves up to 300 Front/Backoffice staff and then execute them with minimum risk to the business.Providing basic LAN support to the bank’s technology groups.Responsible for updating and maintaining the various LAN/Voice and Asset hardware databases.Installation of numerous voice and data systems used within the trading floors and Back Office.Allocating patching schedules for all weekend moves and project work as well as for all support groups.Provide cabling support for any faults of all patching including the Data centre.

My main duty was to install Data and telecommunication cabling infrastructure in various large banks and offices around the UK. I would install, terminate and test a wide range of various cabling infrastructure including Cat 5, Cat 6, fibre and voice cable ranging from 50 pair to 500 pair. I was involved in cabling large Data centres including Nomura Internationals1 St Martins Le Grand site.
