We gather requirements, design solutions, prototype them in a lab environment, pilot it in production, document and operationalize the chosen solution. We work closely with teams in charge of the Optical network, infrastructure deployment, and capacity planning to name a few. This collaborative and adaptive environment is essential for us to scale at cloud speed.

Designing a global WAN for Microsoft's online services.Developing new standards for better scale, such as network topology, boxology, MPLS Traffic Engineering, etc.Router hardware and software selection.Highly involved in Capacity planning for the entire WAN.Responsibilities for projects include:- Gathering requirements- Designing and documenting a solution- Testing in the lab- Piloting in production- Operationalizing the new solution (documentation, troubleshooting guides, training other teams, etc.)- Automating mass deployments- Monitoring performance
