This may involve working along to deliver the project, or management of the project team who will have members of staff working on the project.Manage the day to day delivery of projects, ensuring appropriate levels of documentation and client communication.Budget management for the projects that the postholder has been assigned responsibility.Research, set and maintain compliance with relevant standards for the projects that the postholder has been assigned responsibility.Management of corporate risks which relate to assigned projects, e.g. major system upgrade, ensuring measures are in place to reduce these risksReport to Development Manager, Council Leadership Teams and Members on issues connected to the Web and Integration projects within the ICT Shared ServiceMaintain the Council’s ICT software licence and contracts records. Contribute to developing processes and systems to maintain records, ensure they are completed and monitor for accuracy. Highlight opportunities for contracts to be aligned to achieve value for money. Investigate issues and analyse data to assess licence compliance.Negotiation of supply and re-supply contracts with partners and suppliers, e.g. software vendors. Leverage the buying power of the ICT Shared Service to ensure optimal value for money from the supply chain.Development of business cases and investment proposalsKey contact for outsourced components of IT deliveryMonitor performance of existing contractsTrack the expiration of existing contracts, to ensure all extensions are completed in a timely manner (e.g. support contracts for major IT systems and applications) Show less
