Since December of 2013 Paul Baca has been serving as a Vice President within ViaSat’s Government Systems Division. In this role he works across several ViaSat’s Government businesses including Tactical Data Links (TDL), Global Mobile Broadband (GMB), Tactical Satcom Networks (TSN), Mobile Satcom Systems (MSS), and Secure Networking Systems (SNS) with primary emphasis in TDL and GMB.Prior to his current role Paul was the Vice President and General Manager of ViaSat’s Global Mobile Broadband business unit, a position he held since the inception of the business unit in November of 2010. During his tenure GMB was the fastest growing segment within ViaSat’s Government Division and remains the largest business unit in the division by providing mobile broadband communication technology and services to airborne and maritime platforms. Before serving as GM for GMB Paul was the Vice President and General Manager of ViaSat’s Tactical Data Links Business Unit, a position he held for 10+ years. Paul also led this business unit from it's inception and since 2001 it has been one of ViaSat's most consistent and profitable businesses. Paul Baca has been with ViaSat since January of 1993 and is among its first 60 employees. Prior to joining ViaSat Paul worked for TRW Military Electronics and Avionics Division for nearly 10 years where he held positions in Systems Engineering, Project Engineering and Project Management.
