Automation of key assembly processes including jig and press tool design, balancing the work flow, process streamlining

· The production of sheet metal fabrications to customer specifications by creating CNC programs for laser, punch press and water jet machines using Lantec CAD/CAM software. · Development of formed parts and manufacturing drawings where Required. · Quoting customers cost and lead times. · Using best manufacturing methods and material utilisation to maintain a constant quality level as appropriate. · Managing the order schedule for the various machines to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.

· The development of sheet metal fabrications to the customers specifications and composition of CNC laser or punch press programs to produce parts using Radan CAD/CAM software · Interpretation of customer drawings (2D and 3D) to create CNC programs for the customer requirements · Deciding on best manufacturing methods, materials, and material utilisation for the customer requirements · Producing detailed drawing and compiling S.O.Ps for the shop floor to follow. Previous Experience: I worked as a press toolmaker where I undertook my own milling and turning (conventional and CNC machines), surface and cylindrical grinding and final bench work to assemble the tools. The tools worked on include: · High speed carbide die progression tooling · Fine Blank progression tooling · Conventional and forming progression tools · Single action forming and compound tools
