Rail industry experience spanning over 32 years, starting as a trainee technician in 1990 with British Rail. Progressing through to the role of a Signalling Team Leader in a relatively short space of time. Wanting to pursue my career further I joined Railway Performance Ltd in 1999, initially as a Signalling Team Leader but quickly progressed into a Project Management position. Following a lot of success in this area I moved into competency assessment and then in to internal verification. I joined Performance Development in 2005 where I helped set up their competency management system and gained centre approval with C&G and EAL. I then worked in various training, assessment and verification roles. In December 2014 I joined Baltic Training Services and assisted them in gaining accreditation from C&G and EAL to deliver various railway engineering qualifications. In October 2021 I set up the Rail Futures Network Limited. I am currently working with colleges, training providers and employers to offer bespoke training railway courses to new entrants to the rail industry and to up skill the current workforce
