I am an independent film and television producer and writer. Based in Western Australia I have both Canadian and Australian citizenship. My Producer/Exec Producer drama credits range from contemporary feature films such as Father, Shame, Fran and Blackfellas to the long-running children’s TV comedy/drama series Ship to Shore and the primetime mini-series Kings in Grass Castles (the first Australian-Irish treaty co-production).My productions have featured the screen debuts of Nicole Kidman and Heath Ledger and include AFI Best Actor/Actress winners Max von Sydow (Father), Stephen Dillane (Kings in Grass Castles), David Ngoombujarra (Blackfellas) and Noni Hazelhurst (Fran). My feature films and TV productions have won over 55 national and international awards for excellence.My credits include creating and producing Parallax, a 26 part sci-fi adventure series for the BBC and Nine Network, and the children’s/family series Streetsmartz for which I was awarded the Screen Producers of Australia Independent Producer of the Year Award for Children’s Television. Other productions include the sci-fi series Stormworld, which I co-created with UK writer John Goldsmith, and co-produced for Canada’s Space Channel, Nine Network and ABC-TV (Australia), Daro (Monaco) and Singapore’s Media Development Authority. The 26 x 1⁄2 hour series was shot on location in Vancouver, Singapore, Perth and in Australia’s north-west.More recently I created and co-produced Serangoon Road, a 10 x 1 hour primetime detective drama set in the turbulent streets of 1960‘s Singapore. I assembled an international partnership included HBO Asia, ABC-TV, Infinite Studios (Singapore), Singapore’s Media Development Authority, Screenwest and Content Media. Serangoon Road won the Australian Arts in Asia Award and was nominated for for Best Drama Series at the 2014 AACTA Awards.
