Having finally completed a significant renovation project on our circa. 260 year old Cottage here in UK, I am now actively pursuing interesting and challenging Operations / Maintenance or Integrity related Projects that would benefit from my Shell International or ZADCO Technical Management System Projects experience, on a Contract or Self Employed basis.

Principal responsibility of this position is to establish a HSECES management structure to identify, support and control Critical Systems and Equipment for ZADCO Business Units Facilities, Sites and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.To provide all ZADCO Departments with professional and expert guidance, advice and support in the field of Asset Integrity Management System implementation, with a focus on all aspects of HSE Critical Equipment and Systems management within the Company; including, identification, assessment (criticality), function, Integrity, Maintenance and Inspection.The position aims to ensure the ongoing Integrity Assurance (in line with ADNOC Codes of Practices) for all Production & Operations Assets through the development and implementation of a Corporate HSE-CES Management System that will consider, address and incorporate all current and future ADNOC and Legislative Integrity requirements.The role is essential as it provides a focal point (custodian) for the Integrity Assurance Process which manages HSE Critical Equipment and Systems (as per ADNOC Code of Practice 5.01 - COMAH & 6.01 Integrity Assurance) through their regular assessment (criticality), inspection, testing & maintenance.

With an in-house working group and specialist contractor team we review and revise the existing corporate management system, including policy & strategy definition, Maximo asset data update, establishing reliability engineering, moving towards less intrusive inspection & maintenance and training on-site and support group in the revised processes, procedures and practices....Following Project completion, and handover of the 7 specific deliverables between Oct. 2011 and Mar. 2012 to our Maintenance Support department for Project Roll-out and practical implementation (over the next 18 months) my next challeng is a HSE- CES (Critical Equipment & Systems) Project which will address the ongoing Integrity Assurance of all safeguarding, ESD, Hydrocarbon Containment equipment etc. In the Company.....

Health Safety & Environmental Critical Equipment & Systems - Integrity Assurance ProjectZADCO, as an operating company under the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) complies with all approved ADNOC Standards and Codes of Practice (COP) including the specific COP - Identification and Integrity Assurance of HSE Critical Equipment and Systems (CES), which relates directly to this implementation Project.This Code of Practice defines and documents a process by which ADNOC can ensure that Health, Safety and Environmentally critical equipment and systems (HSECES) are both suitable for their intended function and maintained in a condition to ensure that they will continue to perform their required function throughout their full life cycle.HSE Critical Equipment and Systems (HSECES) are defined as parts of an installation and its structure, plant, equipment and systems (including computer programmes) or any part thereof, the failure of which could cause or contribute substantially to; or a purpose of which is to prevent or limit the effect of a major accident or any accident with severe or catastrophic consequences.

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (TMS) Maintenance Engineering Department. Four projects managed:1) Produce Operations Standards (procedures). Responsible for the development a set of standing instructions, procedures and work practices for Field staff relating to: Volume 1. Field Operations, Volume 2. Terminal & Marine Operations, Volume 3. Well Services. Include environmental procedures to EMAS accreditation standard (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme - Ref. BS 7750). Produce Maintenance Job Routines to cover installed equipment maintenance.2) Plant Operating Manuals: Responsible for producing Operating Manuals for manned facilities with descriptions and information on: Operating Philosophy, Process Description, General Safety, Start-Up, Normal Operations, Alarms and Trips, Facility Control and Data Logging, Plant Shutdown, Utilities, Facility Consumables, First Line Maintenance, Drawings and Environmental Issues.3) Set-up Production Technical Library: Responsible for the development and advertising of the Library. Services included: hard copy Maintenance / Operations / Commissioning / Vendor Manuals, Drawings, Training Video Library, on-line PC access to Engineering Autocad drawing system. Archiving storage facility.4) 'Fresco'​ Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). As System administrator implement EDMS in Production. System based on Curo / Mezzanine software. Scope: Define criteria for document selection, i.e. procedures / standing instruction etc., define logical business areas / document hierarchy / trees, set-up access rights for 'users'​. Manage retrieval, classification and migration of documents, identify 'critical'​ documents for scanning, nominate area 'focal points' for vetting / input.

Jul 95 to Nov 96, HEAD – PRODUCTION BUSINESS SUPPORT DEPARTMENT.Responsible for the management of commercial, financial and administrative activities for Production Operations Department through two Sub-Sections: 1. Contract management 2. Business accounting. 1.Contract management Section:Assess and develop SPDC’s contracting policy, strategies and procedures. Improve contract tracking, control and administration through the implementation of a ‘database’ system to record and monitor contract progress through the ’invitation to tender’ process.Liase and arbitrate with Nigerian Government Departments (NNPC) on Major Contract strategies, with subsequent defence of SPDC proposals at tender board.Clarify / negotiation contract scope and price with International and National Vendor companies. Manage the Production Operations contract portfolio; ensure value for money contract strategies. Manage the Annual Contract Plan preparation and monitor it’s execution.Participate in contract / contractor audits and investigations (defalcation).Develop Minor Contract Tender Board process & procedures to streamline the system2.Budgets & Accounting Section:Responsible for monitoring Field OPEX and CAPEX budget expenditure.Manage the improvement to budget and expenditure monitoring in line with Shell "Operations in the Nineties" initiatives. Responsible for the overall co-ordination of Production Department budget, representing $98 million (1995).Supervise the Production Sections budget, invoicing and payment sub-sections. Coordinate the preparation of the annual Production Department OPEX and CAPEX budgets and long term forecasts. Present annual budget proposals for Divisional Management review and approval. Ensure adequate budget reports are available for line control of field activities.

3. Oct 94 to Jun 95, SENIOR CONTRACT ENGINEER - PRODUCTION BUSINESS SUPPORT.Responsible for the six SPDC – East Production Sections contract administration activities. Formulate contract strategies and prepare contract requisitions / submissions for approval by the relevant Department Heads and Divisional Tender Boards. Review and approve work scopes for the preparation of tender documents and contracts.Prepare schedule of prices, cost estimates and / or breakdowns for budget ceilings and commercial evaluations.Chairman of the ‘Minor Contract’ Tender Board. Update the annual Contract Plan and monthly status / performance reports. Participate in Contractor pre-qualification exercises and Chair pre-tender meetings.

Responsible for the development and Field implementation of a range of TMS systems. Each system requires an end-user friendly / practical ‘business process’, and will provide the transparent hierarchy of Operations Philosophy, Policy, Strategy and Plan etc. down to specific work practices. These systems must be self-sustaining (through processes & procedures) to survive the natural changes in staff and organization.Projects included: Business Process mapping of the Maintenance Planning section, analysis and modelling (redesign) of “core” processes to streamline the section to eliminate waste, duplication and overlap.Operations Standards - Mandatory Standing Instructions, Procedures and recommended Work Practices that provide a basis to control Operations activitiesOperations Capital Budget coordinator - Screening Section proposals to ensure projects are justified and will deliver tangible business objectives within a nominated NPV (net present value).Plant Operating Manuals Project engineer managing a team of engineers, to revise / develop North Oman’s Plant Operating Manuals. Business Process Analysis (BPA) - Published an in-house BPA guidebook to question what is done and how to streamline activities to achieve cost and production targets.Safety Cases – to provide job Hazard Analysis and Control Procedures.

Responsible for equipment inspection & maintenance Planning and Scheduling for North Oman, including:Surface Facilities Maintenance. Including Static equipment inspection and Major Rotating equipment, e.g. A fleet of 80 Ruston / Solar / GE Frame 5 Gas Turbines.Job scheduling via Scicon's Teroman Maintenance Administration System.Spares / Materials coordination, to support routine preventive and corrective work.Shutdown activity planning / scheduling for concurrent Engineering, Surface and Sub-surface OperationsBudget holder (1992 circa. $52 Million) for Rotating Equipment and Tank & Vessel maintenance.

Responsible for coordination and execution of the Annual Inspection and Maintenance Plan / Schedule for Oil and Gas facilities. Managing a team of 5 schedulers, using the 'Teroman' Maintenance Management System to plan and schedule Preventive & Corrective Maintenance for Rotating & Static equipment.

Responsible for the preparation of all Instrument Maintenance Job Routines and Work Specifications for Onshore & Offshore facilities.Produced the Operations annual Instrument Maintenance Plan via the 'Teroman' computerized Maintenance Administration Information System (MAIS), with work instructions, man-hours, materials, shutdown times etc

Responsible for installing and commissioning dedicated "Process Control" computer systems with the vendors as the Company Site Representative. Subsequently tasked with tuning and maintenance of the various Control Systems including Micons (Compressor Recycle Control) and EMC (Compressor Temperature Monitoring)..

Full time 4 year Instrument Engineering apprenticeship at Rugeley ‘B’ Power Station, which consisted of 2 x 500 Mw Steam Turbine, generating sets. Responsible for maintenance of conventional instrumentation, e.g. Turbine Supervisory systems. Specialized in Chemical Analysis and Monitoring Systems for 2 years.
