I have worked for Accountancy practices across the East Midlands and Yorkshire since 1997 advising business owners and high net worth individuals on all aspects of UK taxation.Assisting businesses in meeting their economic and social ambitions through strategic tax planning and timely compliance in order to maximise their wealth and minimise their burden of taxation motivates me daily to keep engaged with clients and to understand individual needs, aspirations and goals.I previously volunteered for the ATT/ CIOT Sheffield branch committee and held position as chairman helping promote the area of taxation in South Yorkshire for the benefit of members and other professionals as a whole.I currently volunteer for the ATT examinations steering group and joined ATT Council in May 2023 as a Trustee.My Son is in the local Sea Cadets group and I find myself a Trustees and Treasurer.... that will teach me for putting my occupation on his application form!I am excited to be starting a new position as District deputy chair (finance) for the Sea Cadets Eastern area supporting volunteers in units across the region with finance related queries and concerns.Privately my time is well taken care of by my wife and 3 children.
