Specific Duties & Responsibilities :Develop, schedule and deliver driver/operator training for equipment orientation, on all heavy equipment, Driver/Operator skill development and collision reduction. Play an integral role in the design, implementation and coordination of the vehicle and equipment operator training programs to ensure the safe and legal operation of vehicles and equipment. Research and develop training program curriculum, training materials, schedules and presentations for customized training programs and procedures specific to fleet and safety needs. Conduct driving and equipment operator evaluations and remediation via theoretical testing and practical training sessions. Investigate vehicle-related accidents and near-misses and recommends training based on analysis. Supervise Assistant Driver Trainer(s). Verify employees' licenses and driving history. Enter and maintain accurate records in appropriate databases including employee training, driver qualifications, accidents, etc. Monitor training records for required recertification, licensing and/or refresher training. Write training reports and evaluation results. Implement, evaluate, report and provide feedback on tools to update programs. Assist in creation of specifications for equipment.
