Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, business partner to the Chief Underwriting Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Finance Officer, Chief Risk Officer and HR Director and accountable for the long term planning, management and delivery of programmes, complex projects and small changes for their respective functions across UK General Insurance in order to drive strategic, operational and culture change.Accountable for the recruitment, leadership, performance management and development of 22 Programme Managers, Project Managers and Business Analysts who:- in 2015 were managing 102 Business Change or IT projects across the ‘Functional’ areas with a total project portfolio budget of $12m.- in 2016 were managing 43 Business Change or IT projects across the ‘Functional’ areas with a total project budget of $6.8mA member of the ‘Functions’ extended Leadership Teams, contributing to their strategic and operational plans, alignment to Target Operating Model, management of risks, resolution of issues and communication of Change/IT initiatives including reporting on the overall performance, budget and benefits realisation of the total Business Change and IT portfolio. Point of escalation. A member of the Business Change and IT Leadership Team, accountable for;- Day to day management and sign off of a multi-million pound budget.- Ensuring that effective governance processes are in place and proper project management tools are defined and utilised, providing appropriate controls and reporting on project progress, benefits and achievements in a timely and efficient manner.- Building relationships and managing external third party suppliers from a contract, cost and delivery perspective.- Leading a high performing solution delivery and business change team.- Leading the development and implementation of the People and Talent Management strategy across Operations.
