I am employed as a delivery driver for Yodel within the Livingston area, main duties are planning your route, loading the car efficiently, and providing outstanding customer service by communicating clearly and succinctly.

Done various manual labor roles, such as unloading vans/lorries for companies such as Enviro Clean, Edinburgh Marriot, to working on production lines for companies such as Menzies Distribution Centre.

I was made redundant in September 2023. The company decided to make a structural change and streamlined my department therefore, my role was at risk.I was looking/applying for similar jobs, but I have also focused on the volunteer side of my life, alongside being a volunteer football coach, I have also taken up the treasurer role within my football club, which has allowed me to use Excel technical skills to update their old ways.

I was responsible for managing key projects within the team, ensuring that any new products being introduced were fully integrated into our databases (Google Cloud Platform)/reporting suite (Google Data Studio), which in turn ensured that the business was able to make key decisions as early as possible. The key part of this role was to learn new technologies/ways of working where I learned the basics of SQL, Biq Query, and was proficient in Data Studio.The most successful project was when I was the lead on streamlining/consolidating several reports with multiple KPIs from different formats (Excel, Tableau, Data Studio) into 1 dashboard within Data Studio, with the outcome being that key stakeholders at all levels had instant access to the data they needed to make key decisions daily automated by 9 a.m. every morning.This was achieved over months of planning, getting all the stakeholders together to brainstorm and create their ideal reporting view which I then brought to life within Data Studio, turning previous old/long-running multiple basic reports into a more visual/storytelling view.The feedback from the stakeholders was amazing and made their life much easier.My key tasks & objectives were: Create or develop reporting that drives operational performance improvements and ensures the right visibility for our stakeholders. Support and provide direction for analysts on key deliverables. Safeguard data integrity and implement governance to ensure reporting is accurate and compliant. Always think of the big picture and look for ways to enhance the user experience. Produce and support others with considered analysis and communicate suggestions for improvement to key stakeholders. Work efficiently and deliver against tight timescales.

I was headhunted into this role by building a great relationship in my previous role with the Attraction Manager who was assembling a new team/department to grow sales within the Service.I was responsible for leading a team in developing high-quality reports/insight to ensure continued growth within the service area.I built a brand-new reporting suite by taking existing poor data quality extracts and transforming them into meaningful/impactful reports/insights that played a major role in growing the Sales through Service department conversion from 4% to 12% at its height of success bringing in millions of pounds in additional revenue into Sky.My key tasks & objectives were: Development of a strategic vision for all aspects of analysis and insight for Sales through Service with Marketing and Operational stakeholders - developing, launching, and driving initiatives.  Shape current reporting infrastructure and implement high-quality data/reports and insight ensuring consistent and agreed metrics. Provide knowledge and insight to Marketing, allowing effective operational execution of future activity.

I was promoted to a team that received business requests for analysis from all areas within Sky, which involved interpreting the business needs and providing key insight/analysis that the stakeholders used to make business decisions.In this instance, I worked with multiple areas of the business providing key insight into where many decisions/cost savings were made, whether it was call center operational, engineering, finance, incentive, or commercial focused. This role was a quick learning process into new ways of working and lateral thinking was involved in answering the business questions that were put to me.My key tasks & objectives were: On-time delivery of products and services that empower clients to implement effective solutions. Develop a clear understanding of client’s business issues to develop relevant business insights. Adopt a clear approach to complex issues. System Approach to analysis investigating relationships between several parts of a problem or situation. Anticipates obstacles and identifies a critical path for a project. After being made redundant by HSBC, my first role within Sky was as a Report Developer, I was assigned to the ‘Attractions’ department where I oversaw all the department’s reporting requirements including creating, adding to, and amending by being the subject matter expert.I set up regular stakeholder meetings to discuss their needs, and over time I built up a great relationship with them where I implemented my ideas into the reports, which enabled them to manage the department more efficiently.My key tasks & objectives were: Develop and design high-quality, accurate reports with a clear presentation layer to enable simple business decision-making and metric tracking. Essential toolsets include but are not limited to Basic SQL and Business Objects. Execute quick turnaround of change to data layers to support self-service portal and report development. Build reports, data cubes, or dashboards based on business needs identified by the business or information interpreter. Elicitation and capture of detailed reporting requirements and validation through prototype generation for client agreement.  Proactively support the business needs, identifying and shaping processes as required by business/information interpreter. Set stakeholder expectations through the correct channels and ensure relevance of communication across the stakeholder community. Support the management of service contracts within business areas using relevant reporting to track against these.

My last role within HSBC was a newly created small team, I was tasked with improving current processes related to outstanding cases where individual errors were made, possibly leading to monetary losses.Within this role, I created a brand-new database to track all errors made by the whole department, and this was used as a feedback tool by the team leaders for the staff.Recommendations were made to management to improve processes related to payment processing that were implemented and efficiencies were made.

I was chosen to go to India (Hyderabad) for 3 months to lead a training team to create a new specialist Routing Team.I led both the classroom training material that was created beforehand, and the delivery of the material.Management of the project timeline was a big part of my time in India, as we had to ensure that the people were sufficiently trained with the aim of being able to do the job unaided before we went home, the team was successfully trained and thrived.

This promotion meant that the core role changed from inputting data to checking other people’s work, and the main attributes leading to the promotion were my attention to detail and geographical awareness.

My first full time role was a data entry job. The purpose of the role was to fix International/BACS/CHAPS payments that got rejected, by looking up the correct BIC/IBAN or amending a customer’s mistake. The main attributes for this role were accuracy, speed, and geographical knowledge both domestic and worldwide.
