Supporting day-to-day operations as Technologist for product movements from receiving crude through intermitted products storage and segregation to final blending. Scope of responsibilities includes blending of main fuels (Mogas/AGO/ MFO/Jet/Kero), LPG and Bitumen blending. Activities include performance investigations, optimization and plant modifications. Also provide support to VBU unit on ad-hoc basis. Important leadership skills gained include liaising with many stakeholders (Operations, Economics and Scheduling, Laboratory and Maintenance) and coaching and mentoring of junior engineers.

Evaluated technical bids of equipment and instruments.Close out of all HAZOP actions.Participated in DCS FAT ensuring that process intent is maintained in the control and trip logics.Managed integration of different technologies into the existing plant during engineering model reviews.Responsibilities during Basic Engineering (Sep 2008 - Dec 2009):Managed process engineering activities of engineering contractor and technology suppliers. Managed interfaces between different technology suppliers and existing plant.Participated in engineering reviews - PFD, P&ID, HAZOP and Model reviews. Witnessed and evaluated piloting activities for new hydrogenation unit.Reviewed Basic Engineering Package for technical quality and completeness.
