Gallo Winery and RMI vineyards at UC Davis in an experimental design observing drought tolerance and how heat-related stress affects growth, photosynthetic rates, and fruit production / quality • Took diurnal measurements of photosynthetic rates using LI-COR 6800 • Measured leaf and stem water potentials using PMS pressure chamber • Performed work in an efficient manner over long hours and extreme (100-110°F) heat • Harvested and processed berry samples for analysis of secondary metabolites using HPLC • Photo processing and segmentation of reconstructed Vitis leaf scans for machine learning • Greenhouse experience maintaining water and nutrient levels for samples / LI-COR CO2 and light curves

Sequoia National Forest

• Safford Lab at UC Davis• Performed vegetation data collection and plot surveys on burned mixed-conifer stands in Sequoia National Forest following Common Stand Exam procedures• Assisted in identifying endemic plants on sight and to the species level using a dichotomous key• Navigated on and off trail using topographic maps, compass, and handheld GPS• Location data recorded with ArcGIS• Hiked up to ten miles over difficult terrain per day while camping in remote locations• Worked in constant close proximity with a small team (3 members) over several months
