The UIQ application that managed Smart meters was upgraded from 4.2 to 4.4. This was a major technical upgrade affecting every aspect of the application and provided a new single sign on module. The upgrade also required updates to all of the UIQ integrated systems, infrastructure and networking. In the past SSN the vendor had always performed the UIQ upgrades, but in this instance CP / PAL performed the upgrade for the first time. I also worked with multiple business departments to coordinate the utilisation of business resources, define testing scope and generate change requests. Testing found a number of critical defects which required 2 additional patches and there were continuous environmental challenges due to changing program priorities.The HAN Pilot project enabled customers to bind hand held devices to their smart meters to enable them to view usage and receive messages. This solution consisted of XML file transfer via SFTP, Web service calls and Excel macro enabled worksheets. -

The Program required that all 11 business units delivered multiple data feeds to a central data warehouse that cover every aspect of their business e.g. deals, fees, receivables, assets, leases, customers, exposures, debt, forecast cash flow etc, The 11 business units where across diverse culture groups and time zones, with data feeds ranging from a daily to monthly frequency. The required data level ranged from per contract to company level. The interpretation of the requirements had to be tailored to each business unit as how they structured their products varied significantly. Due to the compliance nature of the program and the highly politicised environment, effective business relationship management played a pivotal role in ensuring that the program deliverables were not superseded by internal initiatives. I also project managed 4 of the 11 business units, 3 of which had not been fully integrated into Macquarie and were seen as subsidiary businesses. -
