I work with significant clients based in Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, and Tasmania, covering a diverse range of industries, including mining, construction, manufacturing, energy, finance, telecommunications, hospitality, and logistics.My particular passion is in enterprise bargaining and workplace reform, and as a result, I offer clients an in depth understanding of the options available under the prevailing industrial regime for the effective implementation of both collective and individual employment arrangements.I relish understanding the complexities inherent in public sector employment arrangements, and have a strong association with government agencies in Victoria and Tasmania.I also have extensive experience in corporate restructures, labour related issues associated with business acquisition and divestments, and transactions involving in/outsourcing arrangements.A particular focus in recent times has been on advising clients on the legal implications of their preferred contracting model, whether it be direct employment, engagement through a third party or a principal/contractor arrangement. My strategic litigation skills have enabled me to manage the inevitable litigation which arises across the broad spectrum of models utilised by my clients.

During my time at Herbert Smith Freehills, I enjoyed a long term secondment to Telstra in the role of Industrial and Employee Relations Counsel during their drive to privatisation in the late 1990’s.
