I am an experienced investment manager providing bespoke portfolio solutions predominantly for private clients, trusts, pensions and charities, frequently working in conjunction with other professional advisers. I help clients to achieve their goals by:• Carefully working with clients and their other advisers to understand their circumstances, needs and objectives• Agreeing an appropriate strategy for investment based on clear discussions on risks and returns• Designing, implementing and managing bespoke investment portfolios created to target the agreed objectives and regularly reviewing with clientsI am economist by training and following completion of my degree I joined the investment management industry in 1998. Since then I have learned my professional skills during some periods of considerable market volatility as well as significant industry change, providing me with a firm grasp of the factors which must be considered when creating strategies to help clients achieve their long term objectives. I am regarded by peers as having a calm manner, being a good listener and being able to effectively explain some of the complex subjects clients encounter in the field of investment management.During my career I have established a loyal client base including private individuals, pensions, trusts and charities who have mostly been referred to me by existing clients or other professional advisers. I am keen to advise more clients in all these areas who place an emphasis on a strong personal relationship and by continuing to offer a bespoke service within an industry where others are taking a more standardised approach.When I'm not working I am a governor at my local primary school, I enjoy the great outdoors - particularly the walking and wildlife of Dartmoor; and I'm an enthusiastic cook and 'foodie'.
