Paul B Carnan established his own legal practice in 1987. As a career-long private client lawyer dealing with residential and commercial property, contracts, wills and executries, he has a keen interest in, and significant experience of, all aspects of property and contract law.He has been a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Property Law Committee since 1992 and a member of the Scottish Committee of NHBC since 2000.A former Dean of the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow, Paul has been closely involved throughout the past decade with the development of standard missive clauses now widely in use by residential property lawyers throughout Scotland. He is the present Chair of the Glasgow Conveyancers Forum, which exists to develop the practice of conveyancing in West Central Scotland, and to offer guidance on issues and matters of concern to all legal professionals working in property related matters.Paul also sits as a Justice of the Peace within the Sheriffdom of South Strathclyde, Dumfries and Galloway, and he is a Reporter for the Scottish Legal Complaints CommissionHe is a Director of the Merchants’ House of Glasgow and a past President of Harlequin Eastwood Theatre for Youth.He tutors in Property Law and Conveyancing on the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow.
